Four State Forages webinar with Dr. Paul Kononoff

 On December 19, 2025, Dr. Paul Kononoff, Dairy Nutrition Extension Specialist, University of Nebraska, Lincoln presented: "Forages: what do we know and what are we learning about feeding alfalfa to dairy cows?"   He presented on the effects of increasing the proportion of LoL alfalfa hay in diets fed to lactating dairy cows.

 The Four-State Dairy Nutrition & Management Conference webinar series continued on November 25, 2025 featuring Katelyn Goldsmith who discussed the growing understanding of factors that influence colostrum yield and offer strategies to support colostrum production and manage through periods of low colostrum yields.  The Four-State Dairy Nutrition and Management Conference webinar series continued on September 18, 2025, featuring Dr. Joel Pankowski discussing a new approach to mycotoxin mitigation. Pankowski’s presentation, “Mycotoxin Mitigation: A New Approach,” describes how mycotoxins can be formed on crops in the field, during harvest, or during storage, processing or feeding. HIGH OLEIC SOYBEANS IN DAIRY RATIONS WEBINAR

The Four-State Dairy Nutrition & Management Conference webinar series continued on August 13, 2025 and featured Dr. Alycia Bales with Caledonia Farmers Elevator in Caledonia, MI reviewing the use of high oleic soybeans in dairy rations.  She works with a team of ruminant nutritionists where she helps to be a bridge between applied research and on-farm practical solutions. TIMING OF AI RELATIVE TO A SYNCHRONIZED OVULATION

 The Four-State Dairy Nutrition &  Management Conference webinar recorded on July 29, 2025 will feature Dr. Fricke,  Associate Professor at UW-Madison discussing new data on the effect of  timing of AI relative to increased activity and synchronization of  ovulation in lactating dairy cows.
